India's first 3G mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) introduces Youth Plan on New Prepaid Connections with inbuilt Life Time Valid Rent Free Group Calling facility at just Rs.63 for its prospective customers in Mumbai telecom circle.

MTNL new Life Time Valid Youth Plan Prepaid Connections comes at just Rs.63 (Rs.10 for 3G SIM KIT +53 for FTRC) with lots of freebies and talk time of Rs.23 as main balance. The new Sim kit will get activated only when recharged with FTRC-Rs.53 which comes with the Sim kit. After the activations customers also get Free 100 MTNL Minutes, 100 Video Calls Credit, 100 Free SMS on MTNL N/W and 50 MB Data Download credits as a welcome gifts.

With this new prepaid pack subscriber can make all Local and STD Voice call as well as Video Calls to MTNL network at just 20 paisa and 50 paisa/minute for all other Local Voice & Video calls. The STD calls will be charged at 75p/minute.The Youth Plan also provide Life Time Valid Rent Free Group Callings service which enable its customers to make Local calls or SMS to 9 Dolphin/Trump customers just at 5 paisa/minute or per SMS.

The Subscribers will be allowed the entire range of Extra talk time recharges, Plan Recharges and the Top up coupons subsequently.

MTNL announced the launch of new VAS ‘Friend Finder’ a user-friendly service for its GSM mobile services subscribers (Dolphin/Trump) in Mumbai that can immediately locate their family member or buddy. The Friend Finder operates using, not a long-lens telescope or a private eye, but simply your mobile phone! With just a simple typed-in SMS command, you’ll be given the approximate location of the person you’re looking for.

What’s more, MTNL’s Friend Finder is a 100% permission-based service – a safeguard which prevents its misuse. Users require the explicit permission of people they’d like to regularly track before being able to enjoy the service. They, in turn, can grant or deny permission to others who wish to locate them.

Tariff and How to Use-:

To use this service, first a user has to subscribe to this service by sending SMS to 52323. Friend Finder is available in weekly pack (Rs.7/-) and monthly pack (Rs.25/-). Once subscribed the customer can add friends and find their location by sending simple SMSes to 52323 as given in table below.

In its endeavor to provide affordable mobility to its Postpaid GSM subscribers in Mumbai, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today introduces Pay Per Second Add-on plan for its Life Time Rent Free Postpaid Subscribers (Dolphin Jeevan Sathi Plan).

With the new Add-on Plan, MTNL’s Dolphin Jeevan Sathi Postpaid Subscribers can able to get benefits of Per Second Billing at Rs.45 per month which is lowest monthly commitment for any Postpaid services in Mumbai telecom circle.

The Add-On plan offers, Local, STD, Voice and Video calls to MTNL Network (Mumbai and Delhi) at Half Paisa per second (1p/2 seconds) while Voice and Video Calls to all other network anywhere in India will be charged at 1 paisa per second. The By-default GPRS/3G Data charges will be 1 paisa for 10KB.

The new Pay per second Add-on Plan for Dolphin Jeevan Sathi customers will be available from 1 May 2010.

MTNL is the first service provider in India who launched Life Time Rent Free Postpaid connections in January 2006 for its customers in Mumbai and Delhi circle.
